JOB TITLE: Forensic Accountant

LOCATION: Workman Forensics 822 E 6th St Tulsa, OK 74105

PAY: $30-$35/hour DOE

REPORTING TO: Forensic Accounting Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: CEO

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Seasonal/Temporary - January through March 2021

HOURS OF WORK: 32.5 hours per week 

WORK DAYS: Monday through Friday

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

To provide case analysis and support under the direction of the Forensic Accounting Manager across a range of forensic accounting and data analysis procedures including but not limited to:

  • Work within our proprietary processes as part of the Data Sleuth team on various forensic accounting engagements and investigations as assigned.

  • Utilize data analytics software and proprietary data sleuthing software to address client concerns.

  • Filter and “clean” data from various data sources.

  • Analyze and compare data from various data sources to find the delta between “what happened” versus “what should have happened” to quantify losses related to client concerns.

  • Interpret and clearly communicate factual findings and results from data.

  • Collaborate on other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven work experience as an external financial statement auditor.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate simplified conclusions from financial and non-financial data with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Confident in ability to solve problems focused on client concerns in a team environment when confronted with unfamiliar challenges.

  • Experience with structured and unstructured data sources.

  • Reputation for personal integrity and a strong work ethic.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Former experience as an external financial statement auditor required

  • Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel

  • IDEA/ACL analytic software experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

  • On-site employment only in Tulsa, OK with 32.5 hours worked Monday through Friday. Our workspace has been arranged to accommodate safe working conditions during COVID-19. Remote work options possible upon completion of training and management approval.

  • Must be able to begin work no later than January 20, 2021.

TECHNOLOGY:

As part of the on-the-job training, we will provide videos explaining the purpose of each system used and how to navigate the system. This position will be required to learn and understand how to use the following technologies/programs:

  • Harvest

  • Slack

  • Asana

  • Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Sheets

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

  • Gmail

  • Google Calendar

  • Google Meet and Zoom

  • Microsoft Remote Desktop and server
